Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a yoga instructor from Los Angeles, California. Although I am blessed to have grown up on the sunny beaches, I have always felt something missing. Adventure and something more was just beyond the safe shores of the beach and I decided to sail away from the safe harbor and ended up in Leipzig. By deepening my yoga practice and becoming a yoga teacher, in addition to traveling, I have found those pieces that I felt were missing in my life. I am happy to now share my Yin Yoga practice with those at the Ashtanga Yoga Loft!
I hold a Bachelor's university degree in Kinesiology and in addition to completing a RYT-200HR with Yoga Alliance, I am blessed to have completed a separate teacher training for Yin Yoga under the teachings of Melissa Christensen, Paul Grilley and Bernie Clark.
I teach with a relaxed ease, a fun yet subtle humor, and provide the space to go deeper through the practice of Yin Yoga. I understand that Yin might be new and uncomfortable to some - in my first Yin Yoga classes I was the least flexible one, with stiff joints - but eventually allowed myself to melt into the humility. This surrender and acceptance of my strengths and limitations led me to one day teaching the classes that were initially very difficult for me. I'm humbled by the role that is entrusted with me by students and I strive to provide a safe and healing environment. So let's leave our egos at the door and join me y-inside! www.yogivagabond.com
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain
